ആറന്മുള - ഉമ്മൻ ചാണ്ടി ഉത്തരം പറയണം എന്ന് മുല്ലക്കര രത്നാകരൻ

ആറന്മുളയിൽ വിമാനതാവളം പണിയാൻ ആവശ്യം എന്ന്പറയുന്ന കോടികളുടെഒരംശം ചിലവഴിച്ചാൽ ഇവിടെയുള്ള പുഞ്ച പാടങ്ങൾ കൃഷി യോഗ്യം ആക്കാം എന്നിരിക്കെ അതിൽ സർക്കാരിനു താത്പര്യം ഇല്ലാത്തത് എന്താണെന്നു മുല്ലക്കര രത്നാകരൻ 

എം എൽ എ  ചോദിച്ചു. ആറന്മുള വിമാന താവള വിരുദ്ധ ഏകോപന സമിതിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ തുടക്കം കുറിച്ച സത്യാഗ്രഹ സമരം ഒന്നാം ദിവസം ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. കുടിവെള്ളത്തിനും ഭക്ഷണത്തിനും അല്ല പ്രത്യുത പണത്തിനാണ്‌ ഉമ്മൻ ചാണ്ടി പ്രാമുഖ്യം നൽകുന്നത് എന്നും, അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഈ വിമാന താവള കമ്പനിയുടെ വക്താവ് ആയത്, മുൻ കൃഷി മന്ത്രി കൂടിയായ മുല്ലക്കര പറഞ്ഞു. 

ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നെ ജനങ്ങൾ  വെള്ളത്തിന്‌ നെട്ടോട്ടം ഓടുകയാണ്, അപ്പോഴും ഉള്ള കുടിവെള്ള സ്രോതസ്സുകൾ നശിപ്പിക്കാൻ  ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത് മനസ്സിലാകുന്നില്ല.  മറ്റു സ്ഥലങ്ങൾ ഈ ജില്ലയിൽ തന്നെഉണ്ടായിട്ടും ആറന്മുള തന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത് ദുരൂഹതകൾ ഉയർത്തുന്നു.
അടിയന്തിരമായി ആറന്മുള സന്ദർശിച്ച് വിമാന താവള വിഷയത്തിൽ ജനങ്ങളുടെ വികാരം മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ഉമ്മൻ ചാണ്ടി തയ്യാറാകണം, ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തരം നൽകണം.  ആറന്മുളയിൽ നികത്തിയ നെൽവയലുകൾ പൂർവ്വ സ്ഥി തിയിൽ ആക്കണം എന്നും കൃഷി പുനരാരംഭിക്കാൻ സർക്കാർ നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കണം എന്നും

മുല്ലക്കര ആവശ്യപെട്ടു. യോഗത്തിൽ ആർ എസ് എസ് സംസ്ഥാന കാര്യവാഹ് പി ഗോപാലൻകുട്ടി മാസ്റ്റർ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. കാവും, കുന്നും, പുഴയും വയലും ഒക്കെ ചേർന്ന   പ്രകൃതിയും മനുഷ്യനും ആയുള്ള പാരസ്പര്യം നഷ്ട്ടപെട്ടാൽ അടുത്ത തലമുറക്ക് ജീവിതം ദുസ്സഹം ആകുമെന്ന് അദ്ധ്യക്ഷ പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ ഗോപാലൻകുട്ടി മാസ്റ്റർ വിലയിരുത്തി. നിരവധി നിയമങ്ങൾ ലംഘിച്ചും, നടപടിക്രമങ്ങൾ പാലിക്കാതെയും മുന്നോട്ടു പോകുന്ന ആറന്മുള വിമാനതാവള പദ്ധതിനാടിൻറെ സുരക്ഷയ്ക്ക് തന്നെ ഭീഷണി ആണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തുടർന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. പാവങ്ങൾക്ക് അർഹതപെട്ട മിച്ച ഭൂമി കുത്തകകൾക്ക് പതിച്ചു നല്കുന്ന ഫ്യുടൽ നടപടി ആണ് സർക്കാരിന്റെതെന്നു പൈതൃക ഗ്രാമ സംരക്ഷണ സമിതി മുഖ്യ രക്ഷാധികാരി കുമ്മനം രാജശേഖരൻ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.  ഇതിനെതിരെ നടക്കുന്ന ധര്മ്മ സമരമാണ് ഇതെന്നും ഈ സമരത്തിൽ എല്ലാ സുമനസ്സുകളും സഹകരിക്കണം എന്നും അദേഹം അഭ്യർഥിച്ചു.   

 യോഗത്തിൽ സംസാരിച്ച പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തകൻ ശ്രീരംഗനാഥൻ തന്നിഷ്ടത്തിന് നിയമങ്ങൾ

മാറ്റി മറിക്കുന്ന ആപത്കരം ആയ ഒരു സ്ഥിതി കേരളത്തിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത് ഗൌരവത്തോടെ കാണണം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. ഐ എ എസ്സുകാർ, മന്ത്രിമാർ തുടങ്ങിയവരെ വിജിലൻസ് അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ നിന്ന് സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്ന നിയമ ഭേദഗതികൾ നിശ്ശബ്ദം നദന്നിരിക്കുകയാണ്. വിമാന താവള കമ്പനി നടപടിക്രമങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും പാലിക്കുന്നില്ല, കള്ള രേഖകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി ആണ് അനുമതികൾ നേടുന്നത്, എന്നിട്ടും സർക്കാർ യാതൊരു നടപടികളും എടുക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നത് ദുസ്സൂചന ആണ്. ഐ എൻ എസ് ഗരുഡയുടെ പറക്കൽ പാതയെ ഈ വിമാനതാവളം ബാധിക്കുമോ എന്നതിനെപറ്റി ഇന്ത്യൻ നേവി ഇനിയും വ്യക്തമായ മറുപടി നല്കിയിട്ടില്ല എന്നാണ് അറിയാൻ കഴിയുന്നത്‌, എന്നിട്ടും അനുമതി നല്കിയത് ഗൌരവത്തോടെ കാണണം എന്ന് ശ്രീരംഗ നാഥൻ തുടർന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.      

ഹിന്ദു ഐക്യ വേദി ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി ഇ എസ് ബിജു കുടി വെള്ളത്തിനായും ഭക്ഷണത്തിനായും വരും കാലങ്ങളിൽ കലാപങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാകാം എന്ന് ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞർ പറയുന്നത് ചൂണ്ടി കാട്ടി. ഒരിക്കൽ സുലഭമായി ചക്കയും മാങ്ങയും നെല്ലും മീനും ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഈ നാടിന്റെ ഇന്നത്തെ അവസ്ഥ കാണാതെ പോകരുത് എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ഓർമ്മിപ്പിച്ചു. ഭക്ഷണ വിലകയറ്റം സാധാരണ ജനങ്ങളുടെ ആരോഗ്യത്തെ പ്രതികൂലം ആയി ബാധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.  "ചക്കയും മാങ്ങയും ആറു മാസം, അങ്ങിനെ ഇങ്ങനെ ആറു മാസം" എന്ന മലയാള പഴമൊഴി നമ്മുടെ നാടിന്റെ ആ ഭക്ഷണ സമൃദ്ധിയെകൂടിയാണ് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്, എല്ലാം നഷ്ടപെടുകയാണ്‌ എന്നും അതിനി അനുവദിക്കാൻ പാടില്ല.  തുടര്ന്ന അദ്ദേഹം വിമാന താവള പദ്ധതി ആപത്കരം ആയ പാഠങ്ങൾ ഇനിയും പഠിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല എന്നതിന്റെ ഉദാഹരണം ആണെന്നും വിലയിരുത്തി. സര്ക്കാര് തന്നെഇത്തരം പദ്ധതികൾ കൊണ്ട് വരുമ്പോൾ ജനങ്ങൾ അതിനെ എതിർക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

തുടക്കത്തിൽ തന്നെ എതിർത്തവർ ആണ് എന്നും ഇന്നത്‌ ബഹുജന മുന്നേറ്റം ആയി മാറിയതിൽ സന്തോഷം ഉണ്ട് എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. നാടൊട്ടാകെ നടക്കുന്ന പ്രകൃതിയ്ക്ക് മേലുള്ള വിധ്വംസക പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ അമ്പരപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ് എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ അദ്ദേഹം ഈ സമരത്തിൽ എന്ത് വില കൊടുത്തും പങ്കെടുക്കും എന്നും, ഈ സമരം തോൽക്കാൻ പാടില്ലാത്ത സമരം ആണെന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. 

സമാപനസമ്മേളനത്തിൽ മുൻ ജൈവ വൈവിധ്യ ബോർഡ് ചെയർമാനും,  സലിം അലി ഫൌണ്ടേഷൻ ഡയറക്ടറും ആയ ഡോ. വി എസ് വിജയൻ സംസാരിച്ചു.   കുന്നും, പാടവും,  അന്യോന്യ ബന്ധമുള്ളവയാണ്, നദികൾ നാഡികൾ പോലെയാണ്, ഇതെല്ലം നശിപ്പിച്ചാൽ പിന്നെ ഈ നാട് ഉണ്ടാവില്ല. വിമാന താവളം പണിയണമെങ്കിൽ എത്രയോ കുന്നുകൾ ഇടിച്ചു നിരത്തേണ്ടി വരും. ഇവിടെയുള്ള ജന്തു സസ്യ വൈവിധ്യം പഠിക്കാതെ ആണ് ചെന്നയിൽ ഉള്ള എൻവിരോകേർ എന്ന കമ്പനി റിപ്പോർട്ട്‌ തയ്യാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. 

പി പ്രസാദ്‌ (സി പി ഐ ), കെ കെ ശിവാനന്ദൻ (സി പി എം ), ടി ആർ അജിത്കുമാർ (ബി ജെ പി ), അഡ്വ. ജോർജ് വര്ഗ്ഗീസ് (ആർ എസ് പി), വി ഐ ബോസ് (റിപബ്ലികൻ പാര്ട്ടി) തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി പ്രമുഖ നേതാക്കൾ സത്യാഗ്രഹികളെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്തു.     രാവിലെ ആറന്മുള ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനു മുൻപിൽ ചരിത്രമുറങ്ങുന്ന പുത്തരിയാൽ തറയിൽ നിന്ന് 'കെ ജി എസ് കമ്പനി ആറന്മുള വിടുക' തുടങ്ങിയ മുദ്രാവാക്യങ്ങൾ വിളിച്ചു കൊണ്ടാണ് സത്യാഗ്രഹികൾ പ്രകടനം ആയി പ്രത്യേകം തയ്യാറാക്കിയ വേദിയിൽ എത്തിയത്. പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ ഏഴംകുളം പഞ്ചായത്തും ആറന്മുള പഞ്ചായത്തും ചേർന്ന് നൂറോളം പ്രവർത്തകർ ആണ് ഒന്നാം ദിവസം പങ്കെടുത്തത്. 

Indefinite Satyagraha Inaugurated at Aranmula

Witnessed by an august gathering of the most eminent persons of Kerala and thousands of people poet Sugathakumari gave an ultimatum that the proposed private airport project at Aranmula be summarily cancelled. Inaugurating the Indefinite Satyagraha she said that the Satyagraha will not end till the demand was met. With this the two-and-half year old agitation against the project at the famous temple village entered a crucial phase.

At Aikkara junction in Aranmula it was a wide spectrum of luminaries from across the state representing almost all political parties, various cultural organizations and movements. There were veteran Gandhian P Gopinathan Nair, Chairman of the Gandhi Peace Foundation, film star Suresh Gopi, CPM politburo member M A Baby, state General Secretary of the Rashtreeya Swayam Sevak Sangh, P Gopalan Kutty, former ministers M. Vijayakumar, Binoy Viswam, N K Premachandran and Mathew T Thomas,  state General Secretary of the BJP, K Surendran, among those present. The entire people of Kerala are with us, said Sugathakumari, adding that nothing short of the abandonment of the ill conceived project shall be acceptable. The declaration was greeted with applause by the people.

The program started with the singing of Valla Pattu, boat song, a part of the tradition in Aranmula for

auspicious occasions. This was followed by    lighting of the earthen lamp by two aged farm workers, Nallan and Kunjoonju, who were also facilitated. Talking at the event film star Suresh Gopi asked the state government now acting as middlemen for vested interests to see the writing on the wall, that the project be closed down without further damage. Taking the name of Lord Parthasarathy, deity of the ancient temple at Aranmula Suresh Gopi wondered how this project was planned at such a place and offered to join the Satyagraha.

P. Gopinathan Nair, Gandhian, pledged whole hearted support for the agitating people of Aranmula and offered to join the struggle. M A Baby, former minister when some of the project clearances were given, owned up that the then Left Front government committed a mistake and  they regretted the decision. This was echoed by the other ex-ministers. Talking at the occasion Bishop Geevarghese Mar Coorilios said that the airport project will be detrimental to the temple village and shall cause displeasure to the Lord Parthasarathi. Committee patron Kummanam Rajasekharan, and other speakers also called upon the government to give up the project in a heritage village.

A galaxy of activists, environmentalists and social workers from the length and breadth of Kerala assembled at Aranmula for the occasion and pledged their total support. Among those present were former Congress MLA Maleth Saraladevi, and Party leader Philippose Thomas, CPM district secretary K Anandagopan, CPI district secretary P Prasad, BJP district president T R Ajithkumar, CPM district secretariat member A Padmakumar and BJP national council member V N Unni. Coordinator P R Shaji and P Induchoodan also spoke.

അമൂല്യം ആയ പൈതൃകത്തെയും പ്രകൃതിയെയും വെല്ലുവിളിച്ച്  ആറന്മുളയെന്ന ക്ഷേത്ര ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ ഒരു ഭൂ മാഫിയ നടപ്പാക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയ രാഷ്ട്രാന്തര വിമാനതാവള പദ്ധതി അവിടെ നിന്ന്തുടച്ചു നീക്കുന്നതിന് അന്തിമ സമരം തുടങ്ങുകയാണ്. ഫെബ്രുവരി 10 ന് വൈകിട്ട് ആറന്മുള ഐക്കര ജങ്ഷൻ സാക്ഷ്യം വഹിക്കുക ഒരു ചരിത്ര നിമിഷത്തിനാവും.

ആറന്മുള വിമാനതാവളവിരുദ്ധ ഏകോപനസമിതിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്ന സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ ഒരു കർഷക തൊഴിലാളിയും വരും തലമുറയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഒരു ബാലികയും ചേർന്ന് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുന്ന സത്യാഗ്രഹപരിപാടി  മലയാളി തനിമയുടെ വിശ്വരൂപ ദർശനം ആകുകയാണ്. ആറന്മുളയുടെ പുത്രിയും കവയിത്രിയും ആയ ശ്രീമതി സുഗതകുമാരി അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിക്കുന്ന സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ രാഷ്ട്രീയ, ജാതി, മത, ഭേദഭാവങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം മറന്ന് കേരളത്തിന്റെ പ്രകൃതിയെ, സംസ്കാരത്തെ, സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ മലയാള മക്കൾ അണി ചേരുന്നു.

Aranmula airport: HC refuses to interfere in NGT proceedings

Kerala High Court today made it clear that it will not interfere with the proceedings relating to the Rs 2000 crore Aranmula airport project that is pending before the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

The order was issued by a division bench comprising Justice T R Ramachandran Nair and Justice Abraham Mathew on suo motu proceedings launched by the court on the basis of Devaswom ombudsman's report on the harm that would be caused to the Sri Parthasarthy temple when the airport comes up.

The bench declined to interfere with the Tribunal's proceedings pointing that it was exercising its jurisdiction only in respect of the matters relating to the temple.

When the matter came up before the bench today, Advocate General K P Dandapani sought stay of proceedings before the Tribunal complaining that simultaneous proceedings regarding the same issue was illegal.

The judges posted the case to February 10 to consider the report of Airport Authority of India and Pollution Control Board.

The Advocate Commissioner, appointed by the court, had earlier stated the airport project may be a "perennial threat" to the temple.

It was also stated that there could be pollution issues as the airport will be in close proximity of the temple and the construction of the airport could also tamper with several ancient customary, religious rituals and practises of the temple.

Project promoters KGS Group had earlier informed the high court that the flag mast, 'Gopuram' or any other structure of the temple need not be touched, modified or displaced for the construction of the airport.
